Purpose

As a charter School, North Springs has a Governance Board as the primary policy setting body in the school. Its purpose is to represent and provide a voice for all community members: (parents, students, faculty, staff, associated support organizations, and the civic and business community in which NSCHS operates,) as it monitors and guides the school’s progress towards its charter goals.

Responsibilities

As stated in the revised charter renewal petition: “The Governance Board is responsible for setting and communicating a NSCHS vision that focuses on student achievement and academic growth by determining and implementing an innovative curriculum, school structure, and culture suitable for the School’s diverse population. It will set the priorities, objectives and operational processes to meet the goals of the charter. The charter set forth for the 2012-2015 school years has been approved by the State.

Meetings

The Governance Board meets every other Thursday in Dr. Moody's Lab at 7am.
