Mission Statement

The guidance and counseling team has a prescriptive focus on educational success for every student. We focus on removing barriers that impede learning, fostering college/career readiness and ensuring equal opportunities for all students. Our team serves as a valuable resource for individualized college exploration, college entrance and state test preparation, student specific classroom success skills, and community-based partnerships.

The mission of the American School Counselors Association (ASCA) is to prepare today’s student’s to become tomorrow’s adults. At North Springs Charter High School, our mission is consistent with the ASCA national standards, with a focus on academic, career, and personal/social development.

Students are encouraged to meet with their assigned counselor for support with their four-year course planning and semester-specific scheduling needs. For specific challenges that could potentially impact a student’s success there are at least three approaches for help offered on as as-needed basis. These modalities include one-on-one referrals, small group counseling, and classroom and/or school-wide guidance interventions.
