For the past 20 years, North Springs has been home to the only math/science magnet program in North Fulton County. Created to provide students with leading-edge philosophies and techniques in mathematics, science and technology; the magnet enables to students to pursue their passion in these fields through innovative teaching techniques, research, and collaborative hands on learning. Supported by the parent booster group Friends of Math and Science (FOMAS) North Springs hosts the largest science fair in the school system, with students consistently advancing to state level competitions and beyond, COMAP a global applied mathematics competition, and provides opportunities to pursue internships, joint enrollment and membership in both the national math and national science honor societies.
